Winery with an old subterranean cave which can be traced back over 800 years, located on the banks of the River Ebro, in Rioja Alavesa, in the shade of a thousand-year-old oak tree. Acquired by Juan J. Ugarte in 1980, he modemised the winery and began producing his wines using the stemming system.
He sells joven (young), Crianza (oak-aged) and Reserva (Reserve) red wines. The Crianza (oak-aged) wines were awarded silver medals in both the Vinexpo 94 Contest and the Internatinal Wine Challenge 2001
