Continuing the wine tradition of his family, Jesús V. Medrano founded
Bodegas Estraunza in 1990, faced by the evident social changes of
lower, but better quality consumption. He has large premises for the
elaboration of his joven (young) white rosé and red wines, as well as
his Crianzas (oak-aged), Reservas (Reserve) and Grandes Reservas
(Grand Reserve). His main brand is SOLAR DE ESTRAUNZA, although
he also sells under the brand names BLAS DE LEZO and SOLAR DE
MUSKIZ. He exports 10% of his production.
The second
generation of the family already works in the winery that was founded
by their father with the aim of offering wines of the highest quality.
