Bodegas De Santiago is renowned for producing very high quality joven (young) wine. Bronze medals at Vinexpo 97 and Vinexpo 2001, the Silver Zarcillo 1998 and First Prize in the Rioja Alavesa 1997 Wine Harvest Festival are compensation for a know-how and tradition passed on from fathers to sons.
The 5th generation of the family is currently managing the winery. Whilst still producing their joven (young) wine, they also sell Crianza (oak-aged), a carbonic maceration wine aged for one year in a new American oak cask and another wine aged in the bottle.
