Red Gran Reserva (Oak-aged) wine. (Only made in certain harvests).
Grape varieties Tempranillo 90 %, Mazuelo 5% and Graciano 5% from vines which are 60 - 80 years old. Harvest Hand-picked grapes. Fermentation in cylindrical stainless steel vats with a conical top and capacity of 18,000 Kg at a controlled temperature of up to 30°C. Fermented using destemmed grapes, without crushing, and the delestage method, completely breaking up the cap. The wine must is pumped over the cap daily during the 18 days it spends in the vats.
Low pressure vertical pressing.
A clear and pure cherry red with brick red tinges. Complex. Ripe stewed black fruit, well assembled with the new oak. Touches of tobacco, leather, and black pepper. Elegant, silky, well balanced, and long lasting.
This wine becomes extremely expressive as it opens up after its long ageing period. This noble wine, only made in the best harvests, fulfils our high expectations, and shows how the union of ripe fruit with the nobility of the selected oak can bring about the long awaited results.
Recommended serving temperature:18°C. Decant before serving.
