Founded in 1969 as a family business, they
remodelled in 2000. Being a family business, they have done well in
uniting their traditional care of the vineyard with a winemaking style
that is their personal seal. Fruit of the expertise in winemaking, the
winery won third prize in the 10th Contest of Appellation d'Origine Rioja
Wines in 2003.
They have 22ha of their own controlled vineyards
with vines of over 100 years old and 90% Tempranillo grapes and 10%
Viura grapes that are grown using a head-pruned system. The
winemaking process is carried out using the traditional method of
fermenting the entire grape (carbonic maceration) in stainless steel
tanks.
